Topkapi Fruit Room IV | Hand-Embroidered Framed Artwork

A Contemporary Textile Interpretation of Ottoman Palace Art

Inspired by the Topkapi Palace Fruit Room (Yemiş Odası), this hand-embroidered silk artwork reimagines Iznik botanical language through a contemporary textile lens. Flourishing fruit-bearing trees, tulips and stylised floral forms come together in a refined composition that balances structure and movement.

Set against a saffron-toned silk ground, the embroidery features pomegranates, blossoms and flowing foliage rendered in deep reds, indigos and soft ivory tones. Every element is crafted with meticulous chain-stitch embroidery, echoing the spirit of Ottoman decorative murals while standing firmly in the present.

Key Features

Material: Hand-embroidered silk using tie-dyed silk threads on a handwoven silk base
Embroidery Technique: Chain-stitch embroidery crafted by master artisans
Natural Colouring: Plant-based vegetable dyes
Framed & Ready to Display: Mounted within a hard ebonised wood frame
Size: 56 x 51 inches / 143 x 130 cm approx.
Care: Keep away from direct sunlight

Authenticity & Colour Accuracy

One of a Kind: Each work is individually hand-embroidered; no two are ever identical
Base Colour: Rich saffron silk inspired by palace interiors
Embroidery Palette: Deep reds, indigos and ivory tones characteristic of classical suzani craftsmanship

Due to the artisanal nature of the embroidery and the use of naturally dyed silk threads, subtle variations in colour and detailing are inherent to the work. Colours may appear slightly different across screens depending on device settings.

For the most accurate impression, viewing on multiple devices is recommended if needed.

Editor’s Note

Palace walls tell stories — this one is embroidered in silk.

Topkapi Fruit Room IV brings the visual rhythm of Iznik gardens into a contemporary textile composition. The pomegranate branches, tulips, saz leaves, cintamani elements and stylised vines form a calm yet striking arrangement that feels both historic and modern — a refined extension of the Topkapi Fruit Room series.
