Your order will only be accepted when you receive an email confirming that the items have been dispatched.

4. Pricing

4.1 Displayed Prices in GBP, Local Currency, and VAT Inclusion

Prices displayed on the Site are tailored to your location using geolocation technology to provide a convenient shopping experience:

  • Customers in the UK: Prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT at the applicable rate.
  • International customers: Prices are displayed in your local currency (based on geolocation) and exclude VAT, reflecting a VAT-zero-rated price.

At checkout, the final pricing is determined based on the shipping destination:

  • If the shipping destination is within the UK, the price displayed and charged will include VAT, regardless of the browsing location.
  • If the shipping destination is outside the UK, the final price will exclude VAT.
  • Mekhann reserves the right to correct pricing errors or inaccuracies. If a pricing mistake is identified after an order is placed, we will inform you immediately and provide the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel with a full refund.

4.2 Price Changes Due to Commercial Factors

Prices may be adjusted based on market conditions, supplier costs, or exchange rate fluctuations. If a pricing error is identified post-purchase, Mekhann will notify the customer and offer a refund or the option to proceed at the corrected price

4.3 Customs and Additional Fees

4.3.1 Import Duties and Taxes for International Orders

Customers are responsible for paying any applicable import duties, VAT, or customs fees required by their country of delivery. If these fees are not paid, the package may be returned to Mekhann or disposed of by the courier. Orders refused due to unpaid duties are non-refundable, and any return shipping costs will be deducted from store credit (if applicable).

For further details, please check our Shipping Policy

4.3.2 Currency Exchange Rate Implications

Should your credit/debit card not be denominated in British Pounds Sterling (GBP), be advised that the final billed amount may fluctuate due to exchange rate variances. The prevailing exchange rate and any corresponding foreign transaction fees are set by your card issuer at the moment the transaction is finalised. By proceeding with your transaction on this Site, you expressly acknowledge and consent to bear any additional costs that may arise.

5.3 Security of Payment Transactions

We take every precaution to ensure that our Site is secure. Shopify Payments processes all transactions using advanced encryption technology and a secure host environment to safeguard your payment information. Digital wallet payments, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, are processed with additional security measures, ensuring a seamless and secure checkout experience.

To further protect your information, Mekhann uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for all transactions. Additionally, if you use Shop Pay, your payment and shipping details will be securely saved for faster checkout on future orders.

While we take reasonable care to secure the details of your order and payment, we cannot be held responsible for any losses resulting from unauthorised access to your data unless caused by negligence on our part. All transactions on our site are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways, ensuring the highest level of security for your data.
