The Work

Black Pomegranate Vines is a one-of-one framed textile artwork, hand-embroidered in silk. The format is long and narrow, designed for corridors, entries, and vertical wall planes where you want rhythm and presence without visual noise.

A single vine rises through the full length of the piece, branching into smaller stems that carry pomegranate forms and leaves. The structure stays open, with negative space used deliberately so each element reads clearly. The motif scale shifts as it climbs, creating a paced progression.

Colour Logic

Colour is handled as containment. A deep black ground sets depth and contrast. The vine and leaves sit in restrained neutrals, while the pomegranate forms introduce controlled accents of red, terracotta, teal, and muted blue. Each form is held by crisp outlines, so the composition reads cleanly from a distance and resolves into stitch texture up close.
