Bukhara Bed Cover | Hand-Embroidered Silk Textile (Cream Edition)
A structured textile for the quietest part of the room
Inspired by a 19th-century textile from the Bukhara region, this king size bed cover translates historical ornament into a contemporary visual language. Its composition follows a calm geometry. Circular florals, branching stems and scrolling forms are embroidered by hand in naturally dyed silk on a cream-toned base.
The work was completed over twelve months by a single master artisan. Every stitch holds its own logic, not repeated, but placed. Colour is used sparingly yet decisively, with shades of carmine, teal, oxidised ochre and softened green. Each tone is extracted from natural sources and embedded in silk with clarity and control.
This piece does not reference tradition as decoration. It draws from it as structure.
