The Work
A one-of-one framed textile artwork, hand-embroidered silk on silk. The format is long and narrow, designed for architectural placement where proportion matters: corridors, entries, and tall wall planes that benefit from rhythm without visual noise.
The surface is organised as a vertical register of diamond-shaped units, each treated as a contained motif field. A central line of small circular nodes establishes spacing and alignment, creating a measured cadence down the length. An outer dotted border frames the work with consistent perimeter rhythm, keeping the composition locked and legible from top to bottom.
Colour Logic
Colour is handled as structure. A charcoal ground sets depth and contrast. Motifs move through controlled tones of brick red, terracotta, ochre, ivory, and muted blue, held with crisp outlines so each unit reads clearly before resolving into stitch texture and internal patterning up close.

Authenticity and Colour
